2 Corinthians 8:1-2
(1) Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
(2) How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
Returned from my latest trip to Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya and Uganda where we graduated schools and held revision classes in Uganda and Rwanda.
Uganda: While I was there on this last trip I met with approximately 100 former students to gather to pray and review some of the school of Christ teaching and seek God’s direction for the future in Uganda. On the second day of the revision class, something very wonderful happened. With no prompting from myself, the students suggested to run another school this year in Uganda and that they should be the ones supporting it. In a period of 20 minutes over $500 was given for the running of the next school in the month of June. That might not seem like a lot of money, but when you consider that their income can be from $100-$200 per month, it is miracle. This giving attitude brings joy to my heart to see that we are laborers together to help forward the gospel in that nation.
Rwanda: We graduated a school in a town called Rwamagana and held a revision class in the district of Kirehe with 50 former students. During the revision class we listened to former students testify about how their lives had changed through and after the school as they went back to labor in their ministries. To equip these soldiers for Christ with the Word of God and prayer is to give them the tools to overcome in the battle of life.
