Thank you to all that prayed for my last trip and the schools that we finished in Burkina Faso and Tanzania. The Word of the Lord went forth into the hearts of the students and we believe God that there will be a harvest of righteousness in the days to come.
I was listening to the testimonies of the students who were going through the school and a couple of them deeply impressed me. The first was a Pastor’s Wife in Burkina Faso who, after going through the series on the Cross, was convicted of how selfish she was in her prayers. She said that all of her praying had been about material needs for herself. Having heard the lessons from that series, she saw that she was to “live the life of another.” Christ was to live through her. This changed her prayer life drastically.
The second testimony was from a pastor in Tanzania, who after going through the school repented of being man-pleasing instead of being God-pleasing. Sin had been overlooked within the church, which led to immorality among the worship team. A failure to deal with the issue had increased the problem. The pastor made things right with God in the school and was going back to live for Christ and seek His good pleasure and not man’s approval.
This month we start a school in Yaounde, Cameroon. We are expecting 22 students with at least 2 students coming from Central Africa Republic.
