LITWM April 2020 Update

Light in The World Ministries Update, April 2020

Isa 55:6-7
(6)  Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
(7)  Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

Dear Friends and Fellow Laborers,

I think most of you to whom I write are restricted in your movements.  I was due to leave on the 29th of March to visit schools we had running in Tanzania and Kenya; however, due to the recent outbreak of the COVID-19 my flights got canceled and some African countries have shut their borders to international visitors.

We are thankful the school in Tanzania did not get shut down and they successfully graduated with 20 students on April 3rd.

In March we also started a school in Niger, but after the first week of the class, the government shut down its borders and prohibited public gatherings.  We have postponed this class until a more convenient time.

This month of April, we were supposed to run the School of Christ in Kenya, but Kenya has stopped all international flights to and from the country and placed the population on lockdown.

Thank you for all of you that have prayed and supported the ministry. The schools may be paused for the time being, but as soon as things reopen in Africa, we will resume our schedule.

We trust and pray that you are all well.  During this time, it is easy to allow fear to dominate our lives, but we must keep faith in God and redeem the time we have in seeking God’s face.

In Christ and for His Kingdom.
