(Rom 1:15) So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
We recently ran a school in the country of Uganda in a rural area called Rwamwanja, with 35 students in attendance. It is always a blessed time running the schools in these rural areas, as the pastors are generally more apt to receive the Word of God with meekness of heart and mind. Some of the testimonies received from the students during this time are as follows and are abbreviated to save space.
One preacher told how they had a deep-seated quarrel with a neighbor. During the series of “Repentance” in the school, the Holy Spirit worked in their hearts to confess their wrong and go back home to make restitution. This brought about a restoration of friendship with their neighbor, and during the remainder of the school saw an increase in this preacher’s personal prayer life.
Another pastor shared how the lesson on “Church and Home Relationships” deeply affected them. They saw that all true Christianity must affect their home life before we can successfully see it affect others.
During graduation, one pastor communicated how his church had been growing cold, but now his eyes were opened to see the need of revival. He went home to preach the precious truths he had learned to the flock entrusted to his care and was seeing the beginnings of a stirring for God in the hearts of his congregation.
One pastor was blind. The other students would lead him by the hand to the classes, where he sat and listened to the Word of God every day. To see him rejoice and praise God for what he had received in the school was truly humbling. It is such a privilege to be entrusted with this Gospel!
Please continue to pray. God is doing great things. If we can help these dear saints walk with Jesus, we have accomplished our purpose in running these schools.
We have already started our next schools this month of February. One in Lome, Togo (West Africa) and the other in Mugumu, Tanzania. I shall be traveling to be with these schools in the coming weeks.
