(28) For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: (29) But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.
March 2020:
I recently returned from Africa, where I was present for the graduation of the school in Uganda and for the start of the school in Togo.
It is always a blessing to see hearts stirred by God’s Holy Word and fanned into flame during times and seasons of prayer. On graduation day of the school in Uganda, we heard testimonies of how God’s Word had brought to light the need of truth in hearts. How the life of Christ must be reflected in our daily walk, how the blood of Jesus is sufficient to cleanse and sanctify a life, enabling them to live victoriously in the light of Calvary.
The pastors that graduated from this Ugandan school, requested that we come back to run another school this year, in the same area. After graduation, the students came forward to volunteer themselves to help support another school in the same district this year. One student offered a 50-pound (20kg) bag of maize flour, another 20kg of sugar, another would donate 100,000 Ugandan shillings ($35 approx) another $10, the list goes on.
It is always humbling to partake and see the desire of these students to help support another school. This school they are contributing towards will be run in the month of April. The money they don’t manage to raise, the ministry will help to make up the difference.
From Uganda I went to Togo, where I was present with our Director, Brother Shalom (Togolese). Pastors gathered from three nations (Benin, Ghana and Togo) for four weeks of training.
In many of the West African schools before we commit to running a full school, we hold introduction classes / revision trainings that last 3 days. This gives the pastors a sample of how the training will be conducted. When they gather for the full-time school, then every heart is prepared and in the right attitude to pray and hear God’s Word. These introduction classes help smooth the way for the initial first week. This is beneficial because for many the 2 hours of prayer and 8-10 hours of immersion in the Word of God is sometimes a shock to the system.
Thank you for praying for these schools. Time moves fast! It is hard to believe we’re in the third month of 2020 and our next schools are soon to begin. Following are the schools scheduled to run this month:
Monday 9th – April 3rd in a place called Nyakanazi, Tanzania.
March 10th – April 11th Niger.
