What We Do

Light in the World Ministries uses the “School of Christ” curriculum taught by B.H. Clendennen.  These intensive training programs last approximately one month. Each day starts at 6:00am with one hour of prayer and is followed by a full day of Biblical teaching using videos that have been translated into the local languages. Often, the training goes into the evening but always we finish with another season of prayer.

We provide training, accommodation and food for the students who participate in the program. The training is aimed toward pastors and leaders of churches, but we do encourage the local body of Christ to get involved in running these training programs themselves. The local church is also encouraged to either provide accommodation or help with the cooking as they are able.

We are not seeking to start churches or draw people to our organization. We are here to help and encourage the local churches and to establish the Word of God in both doctrine and practice of life from the pulpit to the pew.

All of the training is based on the confident assurance that the Bible is the inspired Word of God and as such, is the primary source of direction for the Believers life.  We adhere to the fundamental statement of faith as set out by Assembly of God.

One of the most effective aspects of using these videos is the consistency provided wherever the training is run. By using the local languages, the program communicates the same message to every people group it reaches. It also means that we can run multiple schools at once in different countries because it is not limited to the function of one individual.

Having worked with this leadership training tool for over twenty five years, we are convinced of its’ effectiveness. We count it an honor to represent Christ and desire that He will establish His Church in the truth of His word through our efforts.
